Amsterdam News Endorses Hillary Clinton - THIS is What YUUUUGE Looks Like!

If you are a New Yorker, you know how BIG this is!

The Amsterdam News endorses Hillary Clinton for president

3/31/2016, 10:05 a.m.
We unequivocally endorse Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary for president.

We need Hillary.
Our country sits on the precipice. We will either continue to rise up out of the ashes of the Bush presidency or go down in flames. The past seven years have been a struggle, to say the least. President Barack Obama has done a remarkable job trying to right this ship we call America, while having to ride the storm surges of the right wing trying to sink us at every turn. We have come a long way, but there are still so many challenges ahead of us.
As New York heads to the polls in just a few short weeks, we must be clear in our objectives. We must understand our history and who has written it. So now it is our turn to correct some of the misnomers and half truths as we go forward to this pivotal election, which, as many pundits have noted, may be the most consequential in our lifetime.
For the first time, in a very long time, the New York presidential primary will actually count, and count with decisive numbers. And that is why this endorsement may be one of the most important ones of our generation.

Hillary Clinton Welcomed Home to Westchester!

Home in New York state for a few days of primary campaigning, Hillary was welcomed back by some of her very first elective constituents - her Westchester neighbors.  The campaign rally was held at the Purchase campus of SUNY, not far from where Hillary resides.  She was introduced by her Congressional Representative Nita Lowey.

Prior to setting off for Purchase, Hillary made a visit to the high school in her town,  A senior who is a photographer at the school's sports magazine got some great shots!

Editor's note: Jeremiah Chikota, a senior at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua, photographed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on her March 31 visit to the school. Chikota, who is head of photography for the high school's sports magazine, The Quake, was hoping to get one or two photos of the former New York senator and U.S. Secretary of State for the school yearbook.

Time is Running Out ... Show Your Hill-thusiasm!

The clock is ticking toward the midnight FEC filing.

Last night in two different prime time interviews, Hillary reaffirmed her commitment to the primary battle.  She needs our help!

Today, in an email, she said this:
Yesterday, Donald Trump said that abortion should be illegal, and that there must be "some form of punishment" for women who have abortions.
This was one of the most outrageous and dangerous statements I’ve heard anybody running for president say -- and we cannot risk letting someone with those kinds of extreme views win the White House.
The stakes in this election couldn’t be higher. Right now, women have a constitutional right to abortion under Roe v. Wade. Trump said he would take away that right, and would criminalize women's reproductive health decisions.
We’re outraged -- and we should be. Any insinuation that Trump’s statement doesn’t deserve a reaction demonstrates a lack of appreciation for how serious this is.
Maya Angelou said, "when someone shows you who they are, believe them." Once again, Trump has shown us who he is.  I have no intention of letting him or any of the Republicans become president and take women’s rights away.
If you're with me, chip in $5 before our critical midnight deadline to say you’re ready to win this fight together:

Speaking with Rachel Maddow last night, Bernie Sanders said the solution to such outrageous statements from Donald Trump was for the media not to cover these comments!  This is absurd, foolhardy, and unrealistic magical thinking.  It is no solution at all.  Trump made the statement in an interview broadcast on live TV!

If anything could be as outrageous as Trump's comments, it would be the expectation of a media blackout on Trump's more offensive and dangerous remarks.

Clearly only one person understands the battleground, the weapons, and the tactics and only one person is prepared to lead the troops against a treacherous threat to our freedoms.

That person is Hillary Clinton.

Hillary understands that we are not fighting one oddball opponent but rather an entire party with consolidated policies.

They have said we lack enthusiasm.  We know that is not true!  Let's show them all that we know who the best leader is and we are vigorously and wholeheartedly behind her!

Please chip in whatever you can before the midnight filing.  Let's show Hillary that we are on her side and understand the stakes.  Let's give her what she needs to fight off the opposition as only Hillary knows how to do!

Chip in!  Show your Hill-thusisasm! >>>>>

Hillary Clinton and Charlie Rangel: Coffee Talk in New York!

The Apollo was not the only Harlem appearance Hillary made today.  She and her old pal Charlie Rangel stopped for coffee-and at a bakery in the neighborhood.  New York Metro area folks are forever grateful to Charlie for spiriting Hillary to New York to run for the Senate.
