Even Hillary Clinton is down to see Wonder Woman, and it just might have something to do with President Donald Trump.

No, Hillary Clinton hasn't seen Wonder Woman — yet. Clinton appeared in a surprise taped message at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards on June 13, and in a brief speech honoring actor and director Elizabeth Banks, she made a pointed, crowd-pleasing nod to both the pop-culture phenomenon and Donald Trump's presidency.Clinton admitted she hasn't yet gotten a chance to see the new female-driven blockbuster, but told the audience: "I'm going to, in part because it's directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins." She then went on to draw a subtly sly comparison between the Amazonian superhero's storyline and her own role in the 2016 presidential election. "Something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster," Clinton teased, "is right up my alley." The quip drew a roar of laughter and applause from the crowd gathered in Beverly Hills for the ceremony.

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and Sen. Kamala Harris made surprise appearances at Women in Film’s awards ceremony with special videos, while veteran newsman Dan Rather called the group’s work toward gender parity in entertainment an example of “basic American decency, tolerance and generosity.”
Comedian Jessica Williams hosted the unexpectedly patriotic Crystal + Lucy Awards Tuesday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where F-bombs flew freely and “Wonder Woman” earned applause anytime it was mentioned.
Clinton said she hadn’t seen “Wonder Woman” yet, but planned to: “Something tells me that a movie about a strong powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley,” she said before introducing Crystal Award-winner Elizabeth Banks.

Hollywood Pays Tribute to Hillary Clinton

Hillary was not the honoree at this award event.  Christine LaGarde was, but she joined in praising Hillary who wasn't even there.

Hollywood offers up tribute to Hillary Clinton

Glamour magazine closed its 26th annual celebration of trailblazing women with a star-studded tribute to Hillary Clinton.
Lena Dunham, Shonda Rhimes, Elizabeth Banks, Chelsea Handler, Ted Danson and Constance Wu were among the entertainers who paid homage to the Democratic presidential candidate at Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards Monday in Los Angeles. They listed Clinton’s achievements and thanked her for her leadership as a guitarist played a somber tune.
“We thank you for your composure, your compassion and your grace,” Banks said, “and for always looking so darn fierce in those freaking pantsuits.”

Glamour‘s 2016 Women of the Year Awards concluded Monday night with an emotional tribute to Hillary Clinton—and all that she’s done throughout her illustrious, and longstanding, career in public service.
Host Tracee Ellis Ross was joined on stage by Shonda Rhimes, Lena Dunham, Constance Wu, and more as they all expressed their gratitude to Clinton for being a source of inspiration for nearly four decades.
“She was the first woman to win a major party nomination. The first woman to win the popular vote for the presidency,” Ross began. “We talk about glass ceilings. Hillary Rodham Clinton may not have shattered it. But what she did do, was this.”
“She had the courage to be the one to raise her hand and say ‘I will do this,’ for all of us,” Scandal creator Shonda Rhimes added. “She was outspoken and noisy and opinionated. For all of us. She had the audacity to believe she could be anything she wanted. For all of us. She went toe to toe with any bully trying to make life harder. For all of us.”

HAVERFORD, Pa. — The teenager leaned into the microphone, pausing for a beat. She had a question for Hillary Clinton, about her high school and Donald J. Trump.
“At my school, body image is a really big issue for girls my age,” began Brennan Leach, 15, who had a red bow in her hair. “I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look.”
How, she asked, could Mrs. Clinton help girls understand “that they are so much more than just what they look like?”
Briefly, Mrs. Clinton appeared ready to rocket out of her seat.
“Thank you!” the candidate shouted, as the crowd cheered Brennan. “Thank you!”
