Ready For Hillary SuperPAC Grows, Wins Support: A Message From Allida Black

Dear Still,

Wow! Since Ready for Hillary officially launched last week we have seen an outpouring of support that is really just stunning.

We put together a video that compiles some of the things we've done so far, and I wanted to make sure you were the first to see it. Remember -- this wouldn't have happened without the amazing early support YOU are showing for Hillary.

Mother Jones recently ran a piece with the headline, "The Ready for Hillary Super-PAC is the Real Deal." And you better believe it. We've gained the support of prominent political figures including James Carville, former Congresswoman and Under Secretary of State Ellen Tauscher, long-time Clinton supporter Harold Ickes, and just yesterday President Clinton's former Press Secretary, Dee Dee Myers, offered her support on Twitter! Oh -- and we are adding a new Facebook fan every 14 seconds!

There is a clear interest in beginning to build a state-by-state, neighbor-to-neighbor network, like President Obama did, to support Hillary right now so we are ready should she run for President in 2016. We are just beginning what will be a long journey; however, we should take a moment to celebrate what you accomplished this week.

Take a minute and watch this video showing the highlights of the past week! Make sure you pass this along to your friends. This movement depends on growing support one person at a time.

And to cap off this amazing week, we have now reached over 1,000 grassroots donors. This is a tremendous accomplishment that blew me away -- and we're just getting started.

Thank you again for stepping up to the plate as we build a campaign that will help Hillary should she run.

Sincerely,
Allida Black
Ready for Hillary Chair

Hillary Clinton News Today: Belles-Lettres

Hillary news today includes her book deal.

Hillary Clinton Book to Hit Shelves in 2014

By Michael Falcone | ABC OTUS News – 2 hrs 35 mins ago

Hillary Clinton has inked a book deal with Simon & Schuster to write a wide-ranging book that the publisher says will cover "dramatic moments" from her tenure as secretary of state, "frame her thoughts about the recent history of U.S. foreign policy and the urgent, ongoing need for American leadership in a changing world."

The book, which so far does not have a title, is tentatively scheduled to be published in June 2014 , according to The Associated Press.

But readers here knew that was coming. We did not have the specifics, and we still do not, but the more surprising news was this letter that came into my inbox 45 minutes ago.

Dear Still,
There hasn't been a presidential election in my lifetime when Democrats have been as united behind a potential candidate as we are today. The enthusiasm and hunger for a Hillary Clinton Presidency is unlike anything I've ever seen.

So I'm not going to waste my time writing you about how great Hillary is or how formidable she'd be -- you know it already.
But it isn't worth squat to have the fastest car at the racetrack if there ain't any gas in the tank -- and that's why the work that Ready for Hillary is doing is absolutely critical.  We need to convert the hunger that's out there for Hillary's candidacy into a real grassroots organization.

Hillary had to give up all of her political organizing activities when she became Secretary of State. That means it’s up to us to build this thing from the ground up.

The fact of the matter is that political campaigns have changed. The Obama campaign connected with people in ways that had never been done before in American politics -- and one of the things that made it possible was that they never stopped organizing after 2008.
Over four full years, they amassed an unbelievable grassroots network -- and used tools like Facebook to mine data and make sure that if they had an undecided voter in the Marine Corps, there’d be a retired sergeant on the phone asking for his vote.

We owe it to Hillary to start putting the building blocks of her campaign together now. The modern political campaign demands it.

Thanks so much for your support,
James Carville

Another Super PAC for Hillary Clinton

I really feel ridiculous putting her last name on all these posts - as if there were any other Hillary this could possibly refer to,  but if I don't, this will not come up on search engines and Twitter.  H/t to Mom4Hill for finding this one!

Capital Eye Opener, March 7: Hillary's Third Super PAC

By Janie Boschma on March 7, 2013 8:00 AM

HillaryClinton.jpgREALLY READY FOR HILLARY: A third super PAC has registered with the Federal Election Commission, supposedly on behalf of Hillary Clinton's anticipated 2016 presidential campaign. The latest is HillaryFTW (an Internet abbreviation for "For The Win"), which lists Hector Pacheco of Los Angeles as its treasurer, according to its FEC report.

As we have previously reported, the other two super PACs, Ready for Hillary PAC and HillaryClintonSuperPAC, registered with the FEC in January. Since then, Ready for Hillary has been busy hiring up Clinton's former staffers to prepare for a potential 2016 run, The Hill reports -- and to convince Hillary to go all in.

There is also this - just to keep things in perspective.

2016 Democratic Field May Not Wait for Clinton

By Scott Conroy - March 7, 2013
She is not an incumbent president -- or even currently employed -- but the deference fellow Democrats have afforded Hillary Clinton regarding a potential 2016 White House run has been something to behold.
With the official start of the next presidential campaign still three years away, friends and potential Democratic foes alike have bent over backwards to praise Clinton and talk up her chances of finishing what she started in her 2008 campaign -- and for good reason.
After all, Clinton’s resume arguably is as diverse and extensive as that of any White House hopeful in the history of American politics. No introductions would be necessary for the former first lady, U.S. senator, secretary of state and almost president, as everyone well knows her name and her story.
In an interview with Don Imus in December, longtime Clinton family confidant and adviser James Carville suggested that the campaign for the Democratic nomination would be little more than a formality en route to Clinton’s coronation.
SNIP
The word “inevitable” likely will come up even more than it did during the early stages of her 2008 run, when it appeared to most observers that the Democratic nomination was all but assured her.
But as was the case then, there will almost certainly be a contested Democratic primary in 2016, despite the assumption of Carville and others.
And though she will have a major say as to when that contest begins in earnest, Clinton is not necessarily in a position to wave the checkered flag.

FOX News Attacks Hillary and ClintonLand Bites Back

In the continual tornadic swirl surrounding Hillary Clinton which is borne of clashing fronts of information and misinformation,  you really need to be careful, Dorothy.  The storms could stir up a nest of bayou vipers.  Or a goddess might rise from the furious clouds and throw lightning at you.

While those of us here were worried sick about our Hillary this week,  FOX News* continued, in fact worsened, their outrageous attacks on our girl saying she would go to any length, including developing a life-threatening blood clot, to avoid testifying about the attack on the consulate in Benghazi.

Since we were all preoccupied with her condition,  I left those attacks on the sidelines earlier this week.  We just wanted her safe and healthy, so my attitude (and probably yours) was "Screw them!"   We simply wanted not to lose her!  God, I was worried!  Now that her condition has improved and she is looking forward to returning to work (an understatement according to Victoria Nuland who said today, "...she is raring to go... "), we can take a step back to the atrocious remarks that echoed all over FOX News about the genesis of Mme. Secretary's health crisis.

The malicious and cold-hearted comments did not sit well with those who know our Hillary.  James Carville rose like a cottonmouth from the bayou, as Politico reports.

James Carville: Hillary Clinton haters ‘inhumane’

By KEVIN CIRILLI | 1/4/13 5:57 PM EST
James Carville slammed the “inhumane, idiotic” critics who questioned the legitimacy of Hillary Clinton’s recent head injury and said it was “duly noted” inside Clinton-land.
“What kind of human being is going to think like that with everything going on with concussions, head injuries? The fact the woman was dehydrated from the fact that she’d been overseas so much — I just don’t know, and some of these people I know and I get along with,” Carville said Friday in a CNN interview.

Wasn't she magnificent?

Having realized that by polishing my second floor furniture (a rare occurrence) two days earlier, I may well have caused Sandy to blow through that area, breaking windows and walls, and that by moving the shovels we used to scoop the plaster up back to their rightful place in the cellar I probably caused last week's snow dump, I think I just might be a witch and Hillary attackers should beware of me too (as soon as I can fine-tune my powers not to backfire on me). You just don't want Hillary's people (especially Hillary's women) mad at you. Anything can happen.
