Hillary Clinton: Her Week in Pictures

After all the excitement of last weekend and the flurry of pictures we were all so delighted to see, the past week was a bit of a pictorial famine with the exception of Tuesday when Secretary Clinton delivered two speeches, one of which electrified all who heard it. Knowing that my readers are probably going through early stages of withdrawal just about now, I thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures from the week in DC.

Thursday: With Nigerian Foreign Minister Henry Odein Ajumogobia

Wednesday: At the State Department with Senator Kerry and General Mattis (Was that cushion always there? We had noticed not long ago that the sofa was a bit large for the petite secretarial frame.)

Also Wednesday, she and USAID Administrator Rajiv Shah briefed the press on U.S. relief to flood-stricken areas of Pakistan. Once again she has a way to donate via your cell phone. Her words:
Using your cell phones, you can text the word “SWAT” – s-w-a-t – to the number 50555. And you will make a $10 contribution that will help the UN High Commissioner for Refugees provide tents, clothing, food, clean drinking water, and medicine to people displaced by floods. When prompted, reply with “yes” – y-e-s – to confirm your gift. I just texted a contribution myself, because we know from our own experience, particularly in Haiti, small donations can add up to make a big difference.

Then, of course, there are these lovely photos from Tuesday when she spoke to the young African leaders and blew us all away with her tightly woven address that contained all of her major initiatives and issues. In case you missed it, I have linked it here.
