Secretary Clinton's Remarks on the Plane Crash in Islamabad

This is such a happy week for the Clinton family, and it is so nice to see Hillary, in particular, finally taking some time off to be with her family at this special time.

Nevertheless, there was a terrible plane crash, apparently weather-related, in Pakistan this morning. Our Secretary of State always has thoughtful words in the face of such tragedies, and today was no exception because for Hillary Clinton, not being at work has never meant she is not working. She released the following statement today.

Plane Crash in Islamabad

Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Washington, DC
July 28, 2010

I send my deepest condolences to all those who lost loved ones in today’s crash in Islamabad of Air Blue flight ED 202. Included among the victims were two American citizens. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and with all the people of Pakistan at this difficult time. As I saw first-hand during my visit last week, the Pakistani people are friends and partners and we will continue to stand with them.
