Hillary Clinton at the Mario Cuomo Bridge Opening

Parts of the old bridge, which I loved in a sentimental way for all the nights I spent looking at the lights, are still visible, but there is no doubt that the new Tappan Zee Bridge, a graceful double span is a beautiful 21st century successor. Until today, only one of the new spans was in use. With today's dedication ceremony, during which the structure was officially named for the late Mario Cuomo, both spans are now open and in use.

As former New York Senator and friend of Governor Andrew Cuomo, Hillary Clinton was on hand for the event and spoke.
