Secretary Clinton to Hold Global Town Hall with Civil Society Representatives

Secretary
of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will hold a Global Town Hall with Civil
Society Representatives on May 16 at 10:00 a.m. at the Department of
State. The event will be organized under the auspices of the
State Department’s Strategic Dialogue with Civil Society 2012 Summit.
Secretary Clinton will deliver opening remarks followed by Q&A with
civil society representatives attending the event in Washington and
participating virtually at embassy and consulate viewing parties around
the world. The event will be live-streamed and available through http://www.state.gov.
No
official announcement from the State Department on this yet, but
thought I would share the information. The event has been sold out since
before the press picked up the story.

TAMPA —
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is scheduled to be the
keynote speaker next week at the Tampa Convention Center for a
conference hosted by U.S. Special Operations Command.
Clinton will speak May 23 at a sold-out dinner for the International Special Operations Forces Week conference. Adm. William McRaven, SOCom commander, has invited special forces delegates from 96 nations to attend.
