Hillary Rodham Clinton: The Great Listener - A Slideshow

Well, here we are in the middle of a rare weekend with no fresh news about HRC, and it seems a little odd. I am sure we all hope that she is getting some well-deserved R'n'R, but I am sure there are some who would also like a Hillary-fix, so I decided to re-post an updated version of this slideshow.

In choosing this one, I settled on a particular rationale: listening. Hillary Clinton is a great listener. She campaigned for NY Senator by first mounting a Listening Tour. Positions she takes, policy she proposes, actions she recommends all are based on what information she has gathered by listening. In her travels as First Lady, Senator, and now as SOS, she has amassed a wealth of knowledge by listening. Whether in interviews, town hall meetings, or interacting with people on the street, Hillary Clinton listens.

We know she foresaw the events now unfolding in the Arab world and warned leaders that reform was necessary. She made this prediction, not by virtue of ESP, but by having listened to the people of the region. Sensitive to the voices of the disenfranchised, the unemployed, the working poor, and the young, she knew that this pressure cooker was building up steam.

She is a wise leader. The wise always listen. Here is Hillary in a posture she often takes while listening, with her hand under her chin. Enjoy!
