In her remarks, Secretary Clinton will underscore the importance of consolidating progress and addressing persistent political, economic and social challenges in the Middle East.

Traditionally held in Doha, the U.S.-Islamic World Forum, organized by the Brookings Institution’s Saban Center for Middle East Policy and the Government of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, convenes this year in Washington for the first time. Participating in the Forum will be leaders from the United States and more than 30 Muslim-majority countries, including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria and Sudan.
