Secretary Clinton to Deliver Remarks at the Annual U.S.-Islamic World Forum in Washington on April 12

On the evening of Tuesday, April 12, Secretary Clinton will deliver remarks at the 8th Annual U.S.-Islamic World Forum’s gala dinner at the Andrew Mellon Auditorium in Washington, DC. In her remarks, Secretary Clinton will underscore the importance of consolidating progress and addressing persistent political, economic and social challenges in the Middle East.

The time of Secretary Clinton’s remarks will be forthcoming in the public schedule.

Traditionally held in Doha, the U.S.-Islamic World Forum, organized by the Brookings Institution’s Saban Center for Middle East Policy and the Government of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, convenes this year in Washington for the first time. Participating in the Forum will be leaders from the United States and more than 30 Muslim-majority countries, including Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Nigeria and Sudan.
