2nd Annual Hillary Rodham Clinton Year in Review: Installment V May 2010

Secretary Clinton is a huge "get" for Sunday morning talk shows. She began May as the first guest on the new Meet the Press set.

She pre-records her Sunday appearances, so this was actually taped on Friday, April 30, but it aired on May 2. It is always a treat to see her on TV, especially on a weekend.

On May 3, she addressed the U.N.

May 7, at the State Department she dedicated a memorial plaque.

I love this smile!

May 11, the U.S.-Afghanistan Bilateral Discussions began. President Karzai had been a little moody. Mme. Secretary was sent in on a charm offensive. Whenever the situation calls for charm, she is the girl for the job. Apparently she is irresistible!

Pretty in pink and flirting with Senator Lugar who strongly supported START yesterday in the Senate chamber before the vote. Thank you Sen. Lugar!

At the State Department luncheon for President Calderon, a toast ... one of several she pretended to sip but never actually drank any champagne.

Hostess with the mostest!

May 21 she arrived in Japan absolutely rocking this outfit! Wow!

That evening she arrived in Shanghai.

The next day at the Expo. She worked very hard to get a U.S. Pavilion installed there.

On May 24 in Beijing the China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue began with a diplomatic entanglement, and proceeded with many other cute pictures. These are just a few.

There's that kissy mouth!

May ends with a bilateral with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Peiris. My own editorial note here: He seemed so very happy to be visiting her at the State Department.
