Slideshow: Hillary Clinton at the White House Today

Mme. Secretary spent a good deal of her day at the White House today, as readers here know from the public schedule posted earlier.

These photos are from the Cabinet meeting. It is a little odd because pictures of Cabinet meetings do not show up regularly at Daylife. The impression you get is that the photo press was asked in today to observe and report the jocular, light mood despite the now common knowledge that factions in the Democratic Party are very displeased with "compromises" President Obama made on the Bush tax cuts. To me, a two-year extension of the tax cuts for the wealthiest does not trade evenly with a 13-month extension of unemployment benefits, but that's just me. Isn't it? It is not exactly what I would call an equation. Anyway, here is the Secretary looking quite adorable while the POTUS seems quite happy, unlike fellow Democrats who disagree with the "compromises" and disliked being reprimanded yesterday when the POTUS spoke to the press.

The Secretary also made what has been billed a surprise appearance at the TEDWomen conference (but that did not surprise readers here who saw that on the schedule as well). There are no photos or videos available right now, and no remarks have been posted by DOS as yet, but there is this nice article from Forbes.
