Bill Clinton Home and Doing Well

Former President Bill Clinton was released from Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital this morning at 8:30 and went home to Chappaqua. His doctors said he is doing well and might be able to return to work as early as Monday. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, originally scheduled to leave on a trip to the Persian Gulf later today, rushed home to New York last night to be with her husband.

Most of us who follow Hillary's activities know how terribly anxious she was when Bill had his bypass in 2004. Thank God yesterday's incident was apparently somewhat routine and there was no damage. He walked out of the hospital on his own and seemed quite chipper. But these pictures of Hillary leaving the hospital show the degree of anxiety she suffered from this. It tears my heart out to see that look on her face.

I know we all wish Bill and Hillary Clinton many, many more happy and healthy years together. Hillary's pretty face takes on so many expressions with which we are all familiar. This is one expression we would prefer not to see.
