Hillary Clinton Endorses Terry McAuliffe in to Wild Enthusiasm in Virginia

It is difficult to say who was more exuberant today,  Hillary Clinton endorsing her old friend Terry McAuliffe for governor at a Falls Church, Virginia rally, or the crowd that greeted her return to the campaign trail.  Naturally her appearance at a political event triggered a flurry of speculation about her own political future, but before you dust off your lawn signs, it is useful to bear in mind that the history of McAuliffe support for the Clintons is long and strong.  Naturally Hillary and Bill Clinton would be stepping up for a loyal friend.   Also importantly, Terry's opponent, Ken Cuccinelli,  represents the antithesis of everything Hillary has ever stood for, and a win for him would be a huge symbolic victory for the forces of radical conservatism that have the Republican Party in a chokehold.

Hillary Clinton's Busy Week Ahead

Hillary will begin her day tomorrow in Atlanta at the closing session of the National Association of Convenience Stores Show, and then she will head for home.   There is expected to be a fundraiser for Terry McAuliffe in New York, but details on that are unavailable.  In the evening, she will be honored at Cipriani by the Elton John Foundation for her AIDS/HIV work.

Wednesday she will receive an award from Michael Kors for outstanding community service at a benefit for God's Love We Deliver and will also appear at a Voices of September 11 gala. 

Saturday, she will swing down to Falls Church, VA, to campaign (yes, this will be a campaign event)  for Terry McAuliffe, an appearance announced today by Terry's wife, Dorothy.

This has been a special year for me. Many of the people Terry and I respect the most are joining us on the campaign trail to endorse Terry’s vision for the Commonwealth. And now I’m honored to announce one more visitor:

Our good friend Hillary Clinton will join us at a Women for Terry Endorsement Event on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Falls Church to help raise awareness of how important it is for Virginia women to get out and vote for Terry in this election.

I expect many of you will be as excited about her visit as Terry and I are, so I wanted to share information on how you can get a ticket for this special event:

What: Woman for Terry Endorsement Event ticket pick-up
Where: Team Terry Field Office, 6354-A Springfield Plaza, Springfield, VA 22150
When: Tuesday, October 15 at 10:00 a.m.
Note: Each person may pick up two tickets. Tickets are required for admission, but do not guarantee entrance. If you are picking up a ticket for someone else, you must have their name and contact information.
