Secretary Clinton wrapped up her Balkans visits on November 1 in
Bosnia and Serbia while many of us on the East Coast were literally in
the dark for an extended period due to Hurricane Sandy.
When she did
return we did not see her right away. Her next public appearances were
on November 8th at the State Department and at the Common Ground
Awards where she presented a posthumous award to Chris Stevens which his
sister Anne accepted in his name.
On the 12th she arrived in Perth, Australia.
She met with Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, Australian Prime
Minister Julia Gillard, Australian Foreign Minister Robert Carr, and
Australian Defense Minister Stephen Smith, in Perth, Australia.
On the 16th she arrived in Singapore where she visited a GE plant and delivered a speech on economic statecraft.
On the 18th she arrived in Thailand where she was joined by President Obama.
On the 19th the President and Secretary of State arrived in Burma.
The next stop was Cambodia where she arrived adorably late for one meeting but beamed nevertheless.
Escalating
rocket exchanges between Israel and Gaza caused this visit to be cut
short when the President dispatched her to the Middle East to try to
negotiate a cease-fire.
She
left for home and a welcome Thanksgiving break having accomplished her
objective and while she was back at the State Department on the 26th we
did not see her again until the following day when she addressed the
Millennium Challenge Corporation and the International Council on Women’s Business Leadership.
On the 28th, she addressed GLIFAA, the LGBT organization of State Department employees, presented the ACE Awards, and received African Union Chairperson Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma at the Department of State.

She
ended the month with a speech about art in the embassies and an address
at the Saban center where we saw her whispering at length in John
Kerry's ear. Just sayin'.
She was spectacular in November. Here is the archive for November 2012.
