Hillary Clinton With Danish Foreign Minister Dr. Per Stig Moeller
Remarks With Danish Foreign Minister Dr. Per Stig Moeller Before Their Meeting
Remarks
Hillary Rodham Clinton Secretary of State
Washington, DC
March 13, 2009
SECRETARY CLINTON: Good
afternoon. I am delighted to welcome Minister Moeller here to the State
Department. I had the opportunity of meeting him and working with him
during our sessions in Brussels last week. And it is so important to
highlight and underscore our relationship with Denmark. Denmark has been
one of our strongest, you know, partners and allies on a range of
issues. And we’re going to be discussing some of those and looking
toward our future cooperation. So, welcome. FOREIGN MINISTER MOELLER:
Thank you very much. I’m very glad to be here. I’ve been working with
Senator Clinton before, and now with – sorry, Secretary of State. SECRETARY CLINTON: That’s all right. (Laughter.) FOREIGN MINISTER MOELLER:
And I am very glad to be here and continue our cooperation, and we had a
very good meeting at NATO the other week. So I am sure that the
transatlantic bonds, the Danish-American bonds, will continue and be
strengthened. Thank you. SECRETARY CLINTON: Thank you. Thank you so much, Minister Moeller. Thank you all very much.
