I want to thank my Facebook friend Allyn Horne for sharing this article dedicated to the late, beloved Dorothy Rodham. I do not agree with everything Budowsky says, but I do agree with his eloquent conclusion.
While the GOP front-runner battles multiple accusations of sexual harassment (which he brushes off, as some men will, as nothing offensive ... in his eyes), Budowsky emphasizes our Hillary's dedication to the proposition that no society can prosper by subjugating half the populace.
I also want to thank our resident hunter-gatherer of articles, Jen, who found the picture of Hillary (with our Dorothy) wearing a Yankees cap in 1992. I would remind David Cone who supported Guilani over Hillary for the Senate in 2004 that she was no johnny-come-lately fan, obviously, and not seeing her in the stands (as Guiliani always was) does not imply that she was not a fan. She was a senator - busy working for the people of New York. Just sayin'!

Hillary wins big in 2012

I have written before, and will write again, that a tidal wave of support from female voters will be a powerful factor helping the president and Democrats in 2012.He concludes with a metaphor so powerful, seductive, and effective that I would like to covert it to some fancy script font, print it on parchment paper, and frame it in federalist blue-and-gold frame.
This “woman power” that benefits Hillary Clinton with women now benefits her with many men as well. In an economy where many view the 1 percent as unfairly gaining at the expense of the other 99 percent, Hillary Clinton is seen as a fighter. She never gives up. She is a voice for those who feel disempowered, including white male blue-collar workers, blacks who feel trapped in joblessness and injustice, Hispanics who are told their dreams can no longer come true and seniors who trust Hillary Clinton as their protector.
In the eyes of voters, Hillary Clinton is the North Star of an America where Democrats act like Democrats and where every woman deserves equal pay, every worker deserves a job and nobody should be left behind. We love you, Hillary, and carry you and your grief in our heavy hearts. This article was rightly dedicated to the great lady who bore you, raised you, and gave you to us - a gift we will cherish, protect, and defend as along as you and we live. (I hope that does not sound too soppy - but I tend to get a little soppy about our dear departed Dorothy.)
The great source of Clinton’s strength is that the dreams of women are the dreams for all. Dorothy Rodham was one great mom who raised one great daughter. If Democrats remember why, they will do just fine in 2012.
Budowsky was an aide to former Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-Texas) and former Rep. Bill Alexander (D-Tenn.), then chief deputy majority whip of the House. He holds an LL.M. in international financial law from the London School of Economics. He can be read on The Hill’s Pundits Blog and reached at brentbbi@webtv.net.
