Hillary Clinton on Thursday endorsed President Barack Obama's creation of a task force to examine police practices and encouraged the use of technology like body cameras to improve policing.Her remarks about the police practices during a speech in Boston were her first in the wake of intense anger after grand juries opted against indicting police officers in the killings of black men in New York and Ferguson, Missouri."These tragedies did not happen in some far away place, they did not happen to some other people," she said, speaking in Boston at a conference for women there. Hillary Clinton at the MA Conference for Women
Speaking to an audience of 1,600 at the Boston Convention Center
today, Hillary Clinton addressed equal pay, paid leave, having it all,
and took a few moments to chime in on the national discussion of recent
grand jury decisions in Ferguson and Staten Island. The sold-out event
was the 10th annual Massachusetts Conference for Women.
