Sen.
Bernie Sanders rejects the premise set up by MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell
about his continued presence in the Democratic race negatively impacting
Clinton in the general election, saying he is on equal footing with
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton and can still win.
"Oh, really?
Andrea, in every state that we have won, in 19 states, we have had to
take on the entire Democratic establishment. We have had to take on
senators and governors and mayors and members of Congress, so please do
not moan to me about Hillary Clinton's problems," Sanders said.
"I don't think I was moaning about Hillary Clinton's problems," Mitchell responded.
"I
know it's a steep climb. ... We still have the possibility of coming in
with the majority of pledged delegates," Sanders added.
For the record, Andrea, Hillary is not fighting a war on two fronts. She is fighting a war for rights and inclusion. She is not running against anybody. She is running for her vision for the people of this country. And, Bernie, nobody is moaning. Hillary is running her campaign for us, and she is just fine and has no troubles.
