Some of the fiercest battles of the Pacific Theater in World War II were fought in the Philippine Islands. Bataan and Corregidor were the sites of horrific loses of Allied troops. Today, in a week when we honored our vets, Hillary laid a wreath at the American Cemetery near Manila. She was joined there by some vets, and was given a tour by the Cemetery Superintendent Larry Adkison. Then, she once again mounted the gangway to HillForce One and departed for Singapore again to rejoin APEC. Here are some images.
