Upcoming: On Hillary Clinton's Agenda

Well some of this was reported here late last week, so it is not exactly news, but it merits a reminder.

Tomorrow: The Secretary will host her annual Iftars dinner which will be preceded by a special “Generation Change” event hosted by Special Representative to Muslim Communities Farah Pandith.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will deliver a foreign policy speech at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington, D.C. on September 8 at 9:30 a.m. After her remarks, Council President Richard N. Haass will moderate a question and answer session with council members.

Yesterday I shared a report that an Irish source mentioned her work with Northern Ireland as a basis for her work in the Middle East Peace talks. Today, RTE reports an economic conference coming up in October to be hosted by Secretary Clinton in D.C. and with some prior ground work being laid by President Clinton. The Belfast Telegraph sets the conference on October 19. I love seeing these two working together.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is to host an economic conference in Washington next month to promote investment and job creation in Northern Ireland.

Her husband and former US president, Bill, will visit Northern Ireland beforehand in support of the campaign to woo US multinationals.
