The Trump Reboot: Regrets, I have a few, but then again too few to mention ...

Chris Matthews drew the analogy between Trump's "regret statement" and Sinatra's "My Way," but we'll run with it.  Hillary's campaign released a video examining which comments, exactly,  Trump might regret, and he comes off more like Edith Piaf - but a lot less lovable.

New Video: Does Trump or Trump on Teleprompter Have Regrets?

Hillary for America is launching a new video on social media called “No Regrets” that reveals the real Donald Trump’s record of making divisive and insulting remarks and then refusing to say he regrets them or apologizing. Last night, Donald Trump speaking on teleprompter said he regretted the things he’s said in this campaign that cause people pain without detailing which ones.




Since Donald Trump spoke on teleprompter Thursday night, Trump started airing a new television ad that attacks immigrants and Trump seemed to argue that all African Americans are in poverty.

The reboot may have brought on the perfect regret-free partner for Trump in Steve Bannon whose former spox, Kurt Bardella proffered this op-ed in The Hill yesterday.

EXCLUSIVE Bardella: On Steve Bannon and why I'm voting for Hillary

What eventually caused me to terminate my relationship with Breitbart was Steve’s guidance of Breitbart to become the de facto propaganda machine for Donald Trump. Toward the end of my time there, no effort was made to hide this fact as we witnessed with the Michelle Fields incident. Whatever reprehensible thing Trump did or said would be defended and supported by the daily content of Breitbart.

The America that I love cannot become beholden to our lowest common denominator. And while Donald Trump is anything but a sophisticated political strategist, a man like Steve Bannon can help amplify his hateful rhetoric to an unprecedented degree.

It is glaringly obvious that Donald Trump does not have the temperament or the judgment to occupy the Oval Office. This is one of those times where the best interests of the whole outweigh any partisan allegiances or any specific issue. It’s why I’ve made the personal choice to vote for Hillary Clinton in November.

Almost everything that happens in the Trump campaign falls under the heading "You can't make this stuff up" giving the entire spectacle the feel of a movie unfolding before one's eyes.  But this is no movie.  This is about our future.  It is about our values and how we perceive and treat each other.
We need to choose. Do we want a candidate whose "outreach" to a voting bloc consists entirely of insults based on ignorance that he makes no effort to correct? Or do we want a leader who sits down with us and listens to our concerns?  Do we want a leader who studies the problems and offers solutions?  Or do we opt for the demagogue whose stock and trade is unbridled, wide-lens anger?





The answer should be obvious.
