New York (CNN) -- Leeland Eisenberg, who authorities say held Hillary Clinton's New Hampshire campaign office hostage in 2007, was arrested peacefully at his home in Dover, New Hampshire, on Wednesday morning, sheriff's officials said.

New Hampshire: Hostage-Taker Turns Fugitive

The man who took hostages in 2007 at a presidential campaign office of Hillary Rodham Clinton in Rochester cut off his electronic monitoring bracelet Tuesday and is a fugitive. The man, Leeland Eisenberg, cut off the bracelet a day after he was given a “last chance” at freedom by a judge who released him despite probation violations. The Strafford County attorney, Thomas Velardi, said Mr. Eisenberg was dangerous and should not be approached.
