I cannot remember whether I ever had an official statement from the State Department announcing this visit. I do remember that the announcement I originally posted came from Turkish sources as does this. So, for the record.
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has postponed a visit to Turkey previously scheduled for next week, Turkish and US officials said on Tuesday. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said US authorities have informed Ankara about the postponement, suggesting that it was linked to turmoil in Egypt that came after the toppling of Tunisia’s president following a popular uprising.
