Hillary was on familiar ground today as she returned to Georgetown
University, where she spoke several times as Secretary of State and as
recently as last December. This time the occasion was the presentation
of the annual Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace
and Security. The honorees were British Foreign Secretary William
Hague and Dr. Denis Mukwege,
founder of Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. We
also see her with Georgetown President John J. DeGioia and former ambassador and
close friend Melanne Verveer.

Hillary Rodham Clinton presented the university’s annual Hillary Rodham
Clinton Awards for Advancing Women in Peace and Security Tuesday night
in historic Gaston Hall.
The awards, created by the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and
Security (GIWPS), were given to British Foreign Secretary William Hague
and Dr. Denis Mukwege, founder of the Panzi hospital in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo.
