Update from Greta6/1/14:  There is no plan.

What is the plan for Bret’s and my interview of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s new book?

I have received so many questions  about the June 17 interview that Bret Baier and I will do of Secretary Hillary Clinton about her new book out June 10.

I have received questions like where will the interview be conducted, what will be the format, how will two anchors do it, how we will divide up topics, what topics etc.

I wish I could answer the questions but Bret and I have not sat down to talk about the interview or plan it.

She hasn't even announced a presidential bid and already she has the Ready for Hillary super PAC (raising $1.7 million in Q1 2014 alone) and her opposition is heating up in equal measure. There is no denying that Hillary is a fierce political force to be reckoned with. And should she be the first woman president of the U.S. come 2016, it would not be her first foray into breaking barriers.  She is the first and only first lady to become a U.S. Senator, not to mention presidential candidate. Her upcoming memoir, "Hard Choices," which chronicles her time as Secretary of State, reportedly earned her a high-seven-figure advance. A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll shows that 57% of Americans have a favorable opinion of Hillary -- including nearly a quarter of the Republicans polled. Of the Democrats and independents polled, more than half said they would vote for her in the party's primary elections, compared with 10% for Vice President Joe Biden.

Statement from President Clinton on the Death of Maya Angelou

Statement

With Maya Angelou’s passing, America has lost a national treasure; and Hillary and I, a beloved friend.

The poems and stories she wrote and read to us in her commanding voice were gifts of wisdom and wit, courage and grace.

I will always be grateful for her electrifying reading of “On the Pulse of Morning” at my first inaugural, and even more for all the years of friendship that followed.

Now she sings the songs the Creator gave to her when the river “and the tree and the stone were one.”

Our deepest sympathies are with Guy and his family.

Author's Note

All of us face hard choices in our lives. Some face more than their share. We have to decide how to balance the demands of work and family. Caring for a sick child or an aging parent. Figuring out how to pay for college. Finding a good job, and what to do if you lose it. Whether to get married—or stay married. How to give our kids the opportunities they dream about and deserve. Life is about making such choices. Our choices and how we handle them shape the people we become. For leaders and nations, they can mean the difference between war and peace, poverty and prosperity.
