On Saturday, May 17,
the Clinton Presidential Center will open its next temporary
exhibition, "Chihuly," which will be on display throughout the Center
until January 5, 2015.
The exhibition will present the artwork of renowned American artist Dale Chihuly, who will hold a lecture May 17 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Great Hall, followed by a book-signing from 12 to 1 p.m.
Born
in Tacoma, Washington, in 1941, Chihuly is credited with
revolutionizing the Studio Glass movement and elevating the perception
of the glass medium from the realm of craft to fine art. He is renowned
for his ambitious architectural installations in historic cities,
museums, and gardens around the world. An immersive and astounding
visual presentation of color, shape, and form, this exhibition is
organized by the Center in partnership with Chihuly Studio.

The
lecture is free and open to the public; however, reservations are
required. Clinton Center Members will receive reserved seating and
priority line placement for the book-signing.

ROCK, Ark. (AP) - An exhibition of blown glass by artist Dale Chihuly
is to open at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, and
Hillary Rodham Clinton is to attend the opening gala.
The
invitation-only reception is set for Friday night at the Clinton Center.
The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday and is to run through
Jan. 5.
