SARASOTA
- Former First Lady and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may come to
Sarasota next month for a speaking engagement to promote her latest
book.
“It’s not confirmed or agreed to yet,” Mary Bensel, executive director of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, said Monday.
Clinton’s
management is currently arranging speaking engagements in Florida for
this summer and “four or five other cities” are also expressing
interest, Bensel said.
The lecture tour is to promote Clinton’s
“Hard Choices,” a 688-page book about her experiences as secretary of
state to be published June 10.
