In her AIPAC speech and also her Independence Day Greetings yesterday, Secretary Clinton's delivery of the U.S. position has been eminently consistent. I predict that anyone expecting a policy shift in this address to the AJC will be disappointed. It is also no coincidence, I think, that in the AIPAC as well as the speech last week at the S. Daniel Abraham Center, she brought up Rabin, and it was not simply because they were friends.

Rabin knew how to sit down at the table. You might reply that, oh yeah, and then he was assassinated. That is never a reason to back down. What if our own Civil Rights Movement had backed down after MLK was assassinated? Back to the message. Be like Rabin and sit at the table. Anybody want to take bets on that name being in her speech?
That said, she seems to get along with Ehud Barak better than with Netanyahu.
